The Most Desired Hermes Bags Of 2024

The fashion house Hermes is synonymous with exquisite style, luxury, and a celebration of life. The Birkin and Kelly bags have stood the test of time and the ever-changing tides of fashion.

Today, Rare Collection wants to highlight the ten updated bags of the Spring-Summer 2024 season that have already become the most coveted items in fashion circles. From classic repeats to last season's debuts, each bag has been reimagined and refreshed in a way that only Hermes can do.

Constance Elan

The new Constance Elan showcased was crafted from Box leather, but Rare Collection managed to confirm that this updated bag will also be produced in various leather options. The Constance Elan's strap is longer than that of the Constance 18, making it perfect for comfortable crossbody wear for most body types. Additionally, the new bag features a small mirror.

Birkin Disco Faubourg 20

It's no secret that the Birkin 20 has captured the attention of every Hermès admirer. Initially released as the original Faubourg bag, it was revealed earlier this year that the Birkin 20 will also be available in an exotic version — featuring exquisite traditional Box leather with whimsical disco ball details replacing the clochette. This new version will be exclusive and limited, making it even more desired.

Shoulder Birkin

Designed by Jean Paul Gaultier in 2004, the Shoulder Birkin is making a comeback this season. The last released version was crafted from dark indigo denim with a black leather flap and handles. The new Shoulder Birkin will feature an elongated dark-colored design, making it convenient to carry by hand or, as the name suggests, on the shoulder.

Mini Kelly Marqueterie

The new Mini Kelly Marqueterie is meticulously adorned with a decorative horse design crafted from veneer and inlaid on traditional black Box leather. Special attention is given to the details on the saddle, representing the mothership at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This exquisite design will also be offered in the Kelly Elan.

Fonsebelle Chaine

Another reissue from Hermеs is the Fonsebelle Chaine. The previous Fonsebelle Chaine featured a leather shoulder strap, but this time the bag is modernized with a chunky chain reminiscent of equestrian aesthetics. Presented in Box leather at the show, the bag will be available in other leathers as well.

Arçon

The Arçon bag is ready to adorn your wardrobe once again. This effortless crescent-shaped accessory was first introduced in spring/summer 2023 and radiates timeless chic. This year's simplified design features a charm, an H buckle, and a wide strap. The original size was presented in Barenia leather, while the small one was in Clemence. Despite the size difference, both bags are remarkably comfortable. One of the key features ensuring the success of this bag is how anatomically it fits the body. Both sizes of the bag will undoubtedly become bestsellers for those seeking comfort and functionality.

Plume

One of Hermes' oldest designs, the Plume, created in the 1960s, is also making a comeback this season. This iconic item is reintroduced in mini variations and classic handbags with legs reminiscent of the Birkin. Like in the past, it combines classic style and timeless elegance with everyday appeal. Reduced to a miniature version is sure to capture attention. The Plume is presented in chèvre and swift leather and available in vibrant shades of red, dark burgundy, and black.

Birkin

While the legendary Birkin did not take center stage in this season's collection, it looked elegant and captivating. Birkin bags in larger sizes — 35 and 40 — in deep brown shades with hints of burgundy played a significant role in this collection. The Birkin 40, showcased on the runway, was crafted from traditional leather, adding timelessness and allure. In conclusion, Hermes is undoubtedly emphasizing traditional leather this season.

Kelly Elan

Among Hermes classics and seasonal debuts, the desired Kelly Elan makes another appearance. This time, the elegant shoulder bag comes in traditional burgundy leather. Initially introduced in crocodile for the fall-winter runway in March, this new burgundy version features the same optional chain that serves as a bracelet. Très Chic!
